About CEA

Patterson Veterinary Academy is proud to introduce the Certified Equine Assistant (CEA) Certification Program!

The CEA Program is designed for veterinary team members who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in equine medicine.

A Certified Equine Assistant is a trained veterinary assistant who is proficient in the handling, nursing, and treatment of equine patients in all aspects of their veterinary care.

Program Requirements

To earn the Certified Equine Assistant (CEA) Certification through Patterson Veterinary Academy,
participants must meet the following requirements:

Completion of the Certified Equine Assistant (CEA) Certification Course

Includes 13 Detailed Modules

Mastery of all skills on the CEA Certification Skills Checklist

Verified by DVM or credentialed technician

Passing score on CEA Certification Examination

Must score 70% or higher

Industry Recognition

Patterson Veterinary Academy is the veterinary industry’s leader in continuing education and training for all members of the veterinary team.
